Show HN: vim.ink – A vim color scheme designer built with React
- johncoltrane 12y agoVery well done. The UI is lacking a bit of contrast, though, especially the "light" variant.
- alexanderteinum 12y agoThank you. (I love Coltrane’s music by the way.) Are you referring to the default color scheme UI or the web app UI? Or both?
- johncoltrane 12y agoThe web app's UI. I think the colors themselves would be OK with a regular font but the current one is so thin that it's barely visible. You should advertise your tool to other vim-leaning communities, like r/vim on reddit. It's very neat.
- alexanderteinum 12y agoThanks for clarifying. I understand that it‘s a bit on the light side, and I will at the very least consider changing it to something more visible. Ah, Reddit. Of course. Will do. ;) Thanks!
- onida 12y agoI would suggest offering some existing/known color schemes to make modifications to and the ability to share custom color schemes.
- alexanderteinum 12y agoThanks for the suggestions! I added them to GitHub Issues.
- marutib 12y agoI liked it. But a little description on top as to what it is will be great :)
- alexanderteinum 12y agoCool, thanks! Although it might be less visible than having the description to the right of the heading, there is a description in the initial file that is shown. I want to keep the UI as uncluttered as possible, so I think I’ll keep it like this.
