Buying women to use them is wrong (and vise-versa).
- deathcakes 12y agoHas it occurred to you that perhaps people aren't looking for real love from prostitutes? Evidently not.
- lukasm 12y agoIt's great to have this in theory, but in real life you have to accept the fact that they are people in every society with certain needs and they are not going to despair. It's better to have them masturbate (porn) or have sex with a prostitute, rather than be violent e.g. rape. It's morally comforting to approach the life with "These are my believes. Its immoral. We need to pass a law". Sadly, it doesn't work that way. It's better to try solve the problem with as little violence as possible and be empirical about it.
- classicsnoot 12y agoDo you have a rational defense for your broad statement? Something like half of all marriages in the US fail; are they acts of fraud and perjury? Do you always avoid buying a human's time for comfort assistance, meaning you never eat out, never stay at hotels, never use a laundromat, never get a massage, never attend therapy or rehab? From the article: " It's not entirely clear that it is preferable for these men to manipulate their way into getting the casual sex they crave rather than having them pay for it. " One of the most annoying aspects of America's puritanical tendency is the fact that sex is seen as either a reward to be bestowed or a trap to be sprung. This twisted approach comes directly from the Bible story about Eve; in a manuscript chock full of stupidity and inconsistency, this made up parable is the most destructive. Women are not objects here for pleasure that we must safeguard against the wiles of the devil. Sex, like pooping, is something that affects everyone alive. If you are willing to say that you only use one toilet, forsaking all others regardless of convenience or necessity, most folks would think you had pants on your head. [EDIT] In classic 'hater' form, Xeoncross amended his statement and excised his most vitriolic childishness from the post. It makes no matter; mods do not like when we argue about not computers.
