If I had a random app installed on my home screen every day and I could say "more like this" or "this is horrible" I think it'd be cool. But it would have to be passive.
- archagon 12y agoThat's a pretty good idea — iTunes radio for games. Too bad Apple has to be the one to do it.
- kacy 12y agoApple acquired one in 2012. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chomp_(search_engine) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chomp_(search_engine)
- robterrell 12y agoBeen expected app discovery to be a solved problem since the acquisition... since the Chomp founders left Apple recently, I would love to hear what happened.
- tomjen3 12y agoWhat do you mean by it would have to be passive? It would come up with a new app everyday but you would still have to indicate if you liked the app or not. Actually I can't believe there aren't already a billion apps doing this - you could make a fucking fortune selling access to your app, compared with the ever growing data on what kinds of apps do well.
- randall 12y agoI don't want to think about the app install process. If I mess with an app, I'd like to register whether I liked it or not.
