The first Swift conference worldwide (Feb 6th, Paris)
- EmilandDC 12y agoWhen the speakers will be announced?
- sylvinus 12y agoWe should have the first announced in the next few weeks!
- dimillian 12y agoCan't wait!!!!!!!!
- moogoo 12y agoSwift is a complete fail unless you think Apple can get the coldplay guys to write code. Which they can and it will be GREAT code.
- thebiglebrewski 12y agoShoot me an e-mail about having one of our instructors speak if you'd like, we launched the first in person Swift class ever in early July! zach (at) nycda (dot) com
- sremani 12y agoFor a formative language, it would be wise for Apple to send a representative and for dotSwift to get Apple officially represented. I am sure the organizers understand this, but this would also mean a cultural departure for Apple.
- sylvinus 12y agoCouldn't agree more! We really hope to be able to get them involved in the conference. FYI, Chris Lattner does speak at LLVM community events so it's not unheard of.
- gress 12y ago'Wise' seems a bit over the top. Generous and positive spirited might be a better way to characterize it. I am curious what such a representative could offer that would not be better in a produced video distributed by Apple?
- simonw 12y agoThey could have two-way conversations with developers who are using and learning Swift.
- josephlord 12y agoThey are active, communicative and responsive on the dev forums.
- gress 12y agoThey do, every day.
- sylvinus 12y agoI think it has to do mostly with the image they want to have in the developer community. Plus, watching a HD video shot in a Theater like ours is arguably more enjoyable and impactful than something shot in a studio. - D4AHNGM 12y agoThis looks interesting. How long are the super early-bird tickets open for?
- Chmouel 12y agoI can do a talk about OpenStack Swift if they need speakers ;)
