And people have talked about that, or just having some sort of dual track with an inverter/UPS for the entire house and some sort of switch between solar and outside electric. One problem is that we would have to create a whole new standard of how to connect DC appliances. Now I know on a smaller RV level that exists but we need something that can take more juice if I remember the conversation correctly.
