And remarkably, the Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC) operated at just 0.043 Mhz (43 KHz) and had just 64 Kilobytes of memory. There is more computing power in modern toasters and by comparison the smartphones we all carry around today are supercomputers! And the complete listing of the AGC can actually be downloaded as a PDF here : http://authors.library.caltech.edu/5456/1/hrst.mit.edu/hrs/apollo/public/archive/1701.pdf http://authors.library.caltech.edu/5456/1/hrst.mit.edu/hrs/a... And for the Lunar Lander here: http://authors.library.caltech.edu/5456/1/hrst.mit.edu/hrs/apollo/public/archive/1729.pdf http://authors.library.caltech.edu/5456/1/hrst.mit.edu/hrs/a... It is fascinating to go through it!
