No it is completely irrelevant. Jason Jones was a Mac fanboy, he even wrote a letter in on of the Marathon games about how it would never run on Windows. However, Apple didn't contribute anything to the game whatsoever. Halo was originally targeting the Mac, as well as other platforms. By the time Halo was first being prototyped, Bungie had already released Marathon on Windows.
