Pigeon photography
- rpconnolly 12y agoFor the birds.
- oniTony 12y agoMore generally — http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_pigeon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_pigeon My personal favourite — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Pigeon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Pigeon > Project Pigeon was American behaviorist B.F. Skinner's attempt to develop a pigeon-guided missile.
- jebus989 12y agoInteresting topics but relatively poor pieces, the above is a featured article no less!
- vool 12y agoAlso IPoP(igeon) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_Avian_Carriers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_over_Avian_Carriers
- stygiansonic 12y agoMy favourite pigeon story would be that of Cher Ami: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cher_Ami http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cher_Ami
- jessriedel 12y agoWhat is with the "Defense of the realm" poster on the right of the War Pidgeon article? Judging by the frame it looks like it should be an image, but you can't click on it...except that it contains a clickable link to another Wikipedia article. And the text is so tiny it's hard to read. The wikisource says it's class="infobox" and it's a <poem>, whatever the heck that means. Bizarre.
- zackcrockett 12y agoA subsequent search of the inter-webs yielded this (what may be the strangest site I've ever seen): http://www.pigeonphotography.com/en/portfolio-2/# http://www.pigeonphotography.com/en/portfolio-2/#
- jacob019 12y agothose eye pics are beautiful
- adamnemecek 12y agoAka drone photography 0.1.
- xxxmadraxxx 12y agoAm I the only one who read that as Pigeon Pornography? (and yes, before someone else says it, still clicked on the link)
- TeMPOraL 12y agoI'm probably going to be burned by animal rights activists for thinking this, but figuring out some kind of control interface could turn pigeons into extremely good drone airframes.
