To be clear, does that include SuperDevMode, or are you referring only to the classic DevMode?
- skybrian 12y agoSuper Dev Mode is the new way. It's here to stay. Browser support for sourcemaps is improving. DevMode is still around since it still works on IE. The next release will be GWT 2.7, not 3.0 which is a bit more aspirational.
- flavor8 12y agoThat's unfortunate -- I find browser based debugging to be clunky. The beauty of the classic devmode was ability to work in my IDE.
- JamesXNelson 12y agoIf you want IDE based debugging for sourcemaps, please see http://github.com/sdbg/sdbg http://github.com/sdbg/sdbg which is a sourcemap (super dev mode / draft compile) based eclipse plugin, for making java debugger speak chrome debugging protocol. The project needs more users to try it out, report reproducible issues, and drive its development.
