They underestimated how hard it would be, however I don't think it was incompetence. They knew it would be hard, and it was even harder than they assumed -- like any startup (hardware or software) ends up being.
It's easy to have opinions when you aren't the one building it.
- bravo22 12y agoI agree. I'd say it was overconfidence more than incompetence; coupled with a slightly unhealthy dose of overpromising/misleading on key features.
