For me (and many others, I'm sure), the top requirement of a redesign is to get the flag link far away from the title and comments links. When using on a small mobile device, I frequently find myself accidentally hitting the flag link. It's why I'm currently using the "Hacker News 2" app (which frustrates me in different ways) instead of the website. This design at least has the link far away from the title; I can't see the flag link or the comments link, so I don't know whether those are good.
