Is it douchey? Yes, but I don't get how people act like they care about this guy and his very minor website. Everyone wants to feel like they are a good person

Is it douchey? Yes, but I don't get how people act like they care about this guy and his very minor website. Everyone wants to feel like they are a good person, so they put their heads in the sand for the big stuff like racism and wealth inequality, but they get "outraged" for this guy and his simple stupid website.
