Heisenbugs. They're devilspwan. I encountered something similar in VB.Net of all languages. Visual Studio Express has a bug in that adding a custom control to a Windows Form seems to drop the line from the auto -generated code that initializes that control. The error message said that it tried to assign a string to an integer or something, in code that executes way after the form is initialized.
