The article made a lot of leaps of logic. For instance the first example of the husband saying "look at that beautiful bird outside". The conclusion in the article was "be kind and interested". My conclusion was "be with someone with similar interests so you'll most often than not naturally be interested in what they have to say" That's not to say you shouldn't always show interest in whatever. Just that it seems like it would be easier with common interests. I'd love to know how common interest correlates with successful long term relationships
