I'm the opposite. Every "new" thing to me just seems to be the same old thing with a new coat of paint. Maybe I'm just nostalgic but there are very few things that seem magic to me anymore. By magic I think I mean that either I have no idea how its done or, better yet, its something that's suddenly done so well I can't figure out how they pulled it off. Seeing an Oculus Rift actually work for the first time was one such example. A new Facebook API that "changes everything" is really really not.
