I also like Seattle. The tech scene, lots of good coffee shops, nice people, nature nearby, music, great food, interesting neighborhoods. I like cold rainy weather, but don't like a lot of snow, so Seattle is ideal for my weather preferences.
- mrfusion 12y agoWhy do you like cold rainy weather? Just curious.
- tortoises 12y agoNot the OP, but I, too, love cold rainy weather. I love to snuggle up in my home with a wool blanket, a roaring fire, a mug of hot cocoa, and my lover. I love to listen to the rain-drops go pitter-patter and plunk all over the roof of my house. I love to roll down my windows and feel the cool mist rush past my car. I love to have a rich, variated flotilla of sweaters to swaddle myself in every day of the week. I love to walk amongst the evergreen trees in a drizzle, finding shelter beneath their boughs, breathing in the wholesome smell of newly-washed forest. I love to wade waist-deep in the pounding surf, scream at the storm, and chase after frightened tourists in sea-kayaks. I love to befriend the killer whales by cackling convincingly at them, and, convinced, they carry me on their backs to tour their icy sea-realms.
- re_todd 12y agoIt's difficult to come up with rational reasons why. I like bundling up in a warm jacket in cold weather; and hearing and seeing the rain fall. I don't like it too cold (below freezing) and I don't like downpours (a light drizzle is ideal). Maybe I should have said I like moderately cold and moderately rainy weather.
- rblion 12y agoI like that kind of weather too for day-to-day life. I like to feel cozy, I get more work done. Also California and Mexico are a short flight away, also Hawaii. :)
