LXDE - the ultra light weight DE - is switching from GTK+ to Qt. I think Canonical is switching Unity from GTK+ to Qt as well.

- quarterto 12y agoUnity 8 uses QML for the shell itself but the applications will still be in GTK. And Lubuntu pushed back shipping LXQT until at least 15.04.

- abhinavk 12y agoAccording to develop.ubuntu.com, Ubuntu SDK allows two types of apps. Native (QML) and HTML5. I don't see GTK+ written anywhere.
