This is a web development tutorial from the PLT docs.
- stefano 17y agoI highly recommend it. I'm building a toy web application in order to learn the Continue web framework. Up to now it is excellent. I've developed using PHP+Codeigniter, and I find Continue to be a lot easier to use (if you know scheme, of course). It is easy to get started, thanks to the DrScheme IDE and the "batteries included" philosophy of PLT scheme, and you can deploy a working executable (including the web server and all the dependencies) with just a few clicks.
- apotheon 17y agoExcellent! Does it require use of the PLT Scheme implementation, with use of PLT's "educational" extensions to the Scheme language, or should it work as-is (with, perhaps, some obvious adjustments -- such as using display instead of print, though even that can be problematic for a beginner) with any implementation that conforms to the standard? It kinda looks like it would require PLT Scheme specifically, judging by hints in the introductory text (such as "Everything you needed in this tutorial is provided in PLT Scheme."), but it doesn't just come out and explicitly say so.
