Show HN: Mention Bin – Create Twitter campaigns that target US legislators
- superchink 12y agoCan I ask how the mapping is done to go from zip code to legislators to Twitter accounts?
- austinhutch 12y agoAny step in lowering the barrier to civic activism is a good one. Thanks for building this tool.
- thomasfromcdnjs 12y agoThank you! We needed a tool that could easily allow us to set up campaigns where you could directly tweet your legislators. In the past 24 hours we have been rallying support for a bill that is hitting the floor in a few hours which was on HN yesterday -> https://shutthebackdoor.net/ https://shutthebackdoor.net/ We have had over 5000 calls and hope that we can target legislators on Twitter also.
- sanj 12y agoThis is really clever! I'd love to extend this to a state-level tool. Specifically for Massachusetts. It looks like the sunlight foundation only works at the federal level. Could I generate a JSON representation of the state data and embed it into getLegislators()? drop me a line at sanj [cinnamon_pastry_roll] alum.mit.edu
