It's a slick site, but the lack of streaming from the CDN would be a deal breaker if I were looking for a Web video hosting solution.

- jon_dahl 17y agoDeveloper here. If you're talking about "streaming" as live playback from one location to another, we don't do that, but that's a totally different product anyway. If you're talking about "streaming" as auto-buffering, we can definitely do that. It's temporarily disabled on some pages to keep file transfer costs down.
- brandonarbini 17y agoAnother developer here. I think you may be referring to an actual Flash streaming server. We're currently using Amazon CloudFront that doesn't support it. We're taking a good look at Limelight and others that do support Flash streaming for the future. Thanks for your feedback.
- jacquesm 17y agohave a look at 'wowza' for live stuff if you ever go that way.
- nopal 17y agoYes, that's what I meant. Quicktime streaming, too. Basically providing a way to jump around in a video, even if the video hasn't been been buffered to the point you want to play. Again, nice looking site and service!
- jawngee 17y agoMost people use progressive HTTP. And a lot of CDN's support that now (bitgravity, panther/CDNetworks).
