> Doing that figure "8" when my GPS goes out for some reason is incredibly awkward. Is that some sort of recognized gesture on your phone, or is it a way to calibrate a sensor? Typically, the figure 8 is used to calibrate the magnetometer, but I can't see how it would help GPS.
