>meaning the US will demand their chlorine-rinsed chicken, and hormone/antibiotics filled beef be allowed in the european markets.
Is there no chance of it being the other way around?
- alkonaut 12y agoThere is a possibility that some authority in the US will (be lobbied to) require hormones/chlorine-rinsing/antibiotics in order for the food to be deemed safe for American consumers, yes. So sadly, there needs to be some "harmonization" meaning turning the clock back a couple of decades in Europe.
- RyanMcGreal 12y agoFunny how these trade agreements always "harmonize" downwards.
