Correct.. I just realized after typing all that in, that if I ask for 5-10%, any number I use as market rate is gonna be much bigger that it doesn't matter. There doesn't seem to be much of anything in my area for decent paying tech jobs. But I'm looking.. and working on my own start-up, that thanks to HN is making me realize to just get it out the door.
