- madaxe_again 12y agoHey, exactly what I commented about a few months back. Seen these ships at work, there are thousands upon thousands of them, and at night they light the sea like stars. This article somewhat glosses over the ecological desolation that this is incurring as well - they're dredge-fishing marine parks, and the "trash fish" spoken about is mostly squid. They use great big boom arms with insanely bright arc lamps to attract them to the surface at night.
