I see your point, but when the article cites companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, HP, CenturyLink, Tableau and Chef, your complaint about "an app that you've never heard of" doesn't really hold up. Perhaps I'm just feeling defensive about my city, but I think that your fatigue with this format has lead you to an incorrect conclusion; things really are different in Seattle.
