For many use cases this would not be required. We have an online school. How would you solve being an online school without the ability to contact your students by email?
- jessaustin 12y agoI doubt we'll ever get within range of this particular goalpost, but it's certainly possible to handle communication within an app. If requiring emails doesn't bug your customers, congratulations! Your "...the email address is so..." remark invited skepticism.
- webhat 12y agoWe actually handle most of the communication (messages/forums) in the app, still email more efficient for some students. And in general if I've paid hundreds of dollars for a SaaS product I might be a little suspicious if I was never asked for my email address.
