Using wayback looks like the last version update was back in 2012 - the mention of 32 bit systems ending at Win7 is a bit of a clue, but this project could still have a useful role - although this isn't the most scientific approach, a trends search of "USB stick" vs "Cloud storage" shows there still might be a bit of life in the old usb dogs yet.

Of couse, add "dropbox" to that trends search and USB sticks look like their losing serious relevance from mid 2010 - until you factor in the fact that you're looking at a self selecting sample: People on the internet looking for internet connected things. Which USB sticks route around for a lot of users.
- devilcius 12y agoApparently last version update is from april 2013. https://code.google.com/p/ghost-usb-honeypot/downloads/list https://code.google.com/p/ghost-usb-honeypot/downloads/list
- spicerguy 12y agoyup, you're right - a misread on my part. Thanks!

- prophetics 12y agoLet's hold back on comparing search trends. Contra your graph, we have variations on what to call usb drives (flash drives, thumb drives): http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=cloud%20storage%2C%20%22thumb%20drive%22%20%2B%20%22usb%20drive%22%20%2B%20%22usb%20storage%22%20%2B%20%22flash%20drive%22&cmpt=q http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=cloud%20storage%2C%20... Of course dropbox dwarfs them all. And you could add in variations on the theme of cloud storage and tell a different story: http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=%22thumb%20drive%22%20%2B%20%22usb%20drive%22%20%2B%20%22usb%20storage%22%20%2B%20%22flash%20drive%22%2C%20%22cloud%20storage%22%20%2B%20dropbox%20%2B%20%22sky%20drive%22%20%2B%20%22online%20backup%22%20%2B%20%22online%20back%20up%22%20%2B%20%22internet%20backup%22&cmpt=q http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=%22thumb%20drive%22%2...
