For anyone new coming to latex instead of messing with unicode bandaids and worrying about fonts they can just use xelatex/lualatex and fontspec.
- contingencies 12y agoYes. I use LyX and XeTeX for a book I am writing that features at least five or ten different non-western script based languages (Chinese, Sanskrit, Tai, etc.) It's a pain to set up but works very well once you get going. Nothing else worked.
