> Americans watch 5.3 hours of television a day, and they read for less than a half hour,” [citation needed] Honestly this probably isn't terribly far off, but I have a very hard time believing Americans read less than half an hour a day (unless you're strictly counting non-digitized reading, which is a useless figure anyway because many people read all of their non-web content on e-readers now) I googled around and couldn't find a source either.
