In all my ignorance, I'm reposting to say that I disagree with the approach as said in the article. If one needs to create a personalized profile for a product, then one needs to friend, or fan, the product profile, it is a less efficient strategy. There are better ways to do this. But anyhow, it's facebook, so they'll probably get it.
