If it doesn't work then I understand not feeling confident in their release, so you should try it! TLDR: Homebrew does not appear to be an official install method.

Thanks a bunch for that link; I wasn't aware that they had also released a very handy .pkg installer for boot2docker + docker. The installer works perfectly and, since it's the officially supported installer method, I'm polling to get the docker and boot2docker formulae removed from Homebrew to ease confusion: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/pull/30013 https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/pull/30013
