How is privatising health care a good idea?

  It isn't in my opinion, but I'd at least accept the possibility in the scientific sense. However, given that the US is the only major developed nation without some form of socialised healthcare - and they pay double what we do per capita and still can't provide healthcare for all - I'd imagine that socialised would prove to be the best in any experiment.
