Error message should include links to better ISPs in your area.
- bhartzer 12y agoOr an affiliate link to sign up for another ISP in their area. Or Netflix should start their own ISP (as a reseller or white label).
- jc4p 12y agoIn most cases, you don't have a choice of ISP.

- mortenjorck 12y agoIn a lot of cases, I'd imagine it already does.
- alyandon 12y agoUnfortunately, my choices are: 1) cable internet service from TWC (fortunately - they have decent service in my area so Netflix won't be displaying the "your provider sucks here is a better one" link for me) 2) 1.5mbits/s DSL from AT&T Some might argue that satellite and wireless providers like Clear are viable alternatives. They are not as wireless has spotty connectivity and satellite broadband has unacceptable latency. So, my choices are either broadband through the local cable monopoly or almost-broadband DSL through the telco that refuses to upgrade their infrastructure in the area that I live. Free market indeed. :-/
- iamthepieman 12y agoAt most I've only had two choices for ISP - Comcast and Time Warner. Currently I have one "option" - Charter. I guess you could add mobile providers to the list if you count mobile hotspots as broadband. That would be an additional 1-4 providers in most areas.

- rem7 12y agoIt should also include the support number for the ISPs number... you know, keep it handy just in case the user wants to call and complain.
- sadris 12y agoThat as well as contact info for your city councilors and example legislation on use of eminent domain for last-mile cables.
