I like the faux 3d dock . . . it'd be nice if this was configurable.
- Gracana 12y agoIt might be. There are two different style options for it right now, aren't there? [edit] That's not a rhetorical question; I'm not at home with my mac so I don't know for sure.
- nirnira 12y agoThere used to be. As of Mavericks, there is no way to customise the look or feel of the default 3D dock style.
- Joeri 12y agoWhen they switched from the 2d dock to the 3d dock a lot of people said the same thing. I like how apple is slowly reversing their design decisions. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the return of the spatial finder ;)
- cmelbye 12y agoSimilarities between the new dock and the dock in pre-Leopard is an exception, I think. There is much more not in common design-wise than there is in common.
- spupy 12y agoI tried using the spacial feature of Nautilus, a file manager for Linux. What's your usage of a spatial file manager? I couldn't see it being beneficial to my file browsing in any way. Just curious.
- currysausage 12y agoValid question, don't know why it was downvoted. The short answer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spatial_file_manager#Advantages https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spatial_file_manager#Advantage... - syncsynchalt 12y agoThere was a "defaults" option for a flat dock in 10.7 and 10.8... one wonders why they removed it for 10.9, only to change the default back to flat in 10.10.
- iSnow 12y agoI guess first the Forstall influence giving us ugly 3D everywhere and now Ive's hand.
