- jarrett 12y agoIn addition to changing hosts, there are a few ways to dramatically increase the traffic a blog can handle: - Caching aggressively to static files. - Using a static site compiler. - An HTTP caching layer, like Varnish or CloudFlare. All of the above eliminate the need for a database connection per pageview.
- josefresco 12y agoGood idea. Bluehost and the like saw a huge performance hit when they were scooped up by EIG and the servers "upgraded".
