Anybody know if you can install this on a clean hard drive? I've got Leopard on my MacBook, but want to swap out the existing drive and start fresh on a new SSD. Would be nice to not have to do a Leopard -> Snow Leopard dance.
- potatolicious 17y agoApple doesn't do "upgrades" - if you bought a retail copy it will install fresh on any Intel Mac.
- dchest 17y agoTechnically, it does (cheap upgrade copy of Tiger for those, who purchased Mac with Panther after the announcement of Tiger, required Panther). Still, I believe it's true that you can do a fresh install.
