I'm still waiting for the Tire::Model::Persistence equivalent in the elasticsearch gem.

An "ActiveRecord-like" pattern is being actively working on in the `persistence-model` branch (https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch-rails/pull/91 https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch-rails/pull/91)
