The CII is not funding the OpenSSL Foundation; it is directly funding two OpenSSL developers, so they can work on whatever is best for OpenSSL, instead of whatever feature improvements contracted by the OpenSSL Foundation. As a result, the people behind the OpenSSL Foundation are NOT taking a cut of the monies from the CII.
