Misogyny is a system wherein women are subject to mistreatment.
Note that I am not advocating either system, and am an ardent feminist.
- lotsofmangos 12y agoMisogyny isn't a system and patriarchies don't persist for long without misogyny, for fairly obvious reasons.
- zenbowman 12y agoI don't believe that is accurate. There are plenty of patriarchal societies where women have high status and are not subject to mistreatment or violence, but no political or economic control.
