This is a very interesting topic, but I feel he really doesn't understand banking for a number of reasons and this is one of them. The banks mine tons of data and use it to make profit off of you and I in more ways than you could imagine. I find finance and technology fascinating, but the idea of a good citizen bank is very wishful thinking.
