Better than just seeing Markdown/reStructuredText/AsciiDoc/Textile/... there. I'm designing a new markup language, too. Happy to draw inspiration from Skriv.
Not all markup languages are good for blogging, especially for different spoken languages. At least, both Markdown and reStructuredText are not very good for Chinese writings.

- NaNaN 12y agoMost inline markups require spaces surrounding the text, and Chinese do not need spaces between words. Although reST provide "\ " to remove the spaces from output, it makes the document ugly.
