I'd be curious to understand the parts of his day that take the most time, and how that could change in NY. Commuting and shopping are two huge time sinks that living in NY could fix.
- steveklabnik 12y agoCommute is a huge deal: I ride the 38 for ~90 minutes a day, in total. Also, to be effective at my job, I needed to be there during the 9-5, M-F period. I don't plan on getting myself into another 'real job' soon.
- ctoshok 12y agooh god, the 38. a bike would have been helpful, though I can definitely relate to commute angst.
