I haven't read the any of the ECMAScript standards in full, but I imagine this would be a non-conforming variation.

It did not make enough of a difference that the Ada, C++, C#, Fortran, Java, Pascal, mawk, nawk and lua variants with decimal floating-point were maintained since 2010, apparently.
