Completely agree. If you treat people like children they will act like children. To be honest, the author of the post sounds like a somewhat spineless person who's too afraid of hurting people's feelings to manage effectively. The women percieve this and react to it, as perhaps the men do as well by completely ignoring her (not alpha, not a threat, no problems). You can't tiptoe around people and also lead effectively. Yes, some people will cry. Some people will have angry outbursts. But you remain calm, let them cool off a bit, and then move on with life.
