I completely agree. I built myself a metasearch engine that uses StackExchange and other sources in parallel; for example: http://gigglebang.com/?q=postgres+replication+monitoring http://gigglebang.com/?q=postgres+replication+monitoring
It's really basic, but I end up starting most of my searches there, and fallback to Google with a DDG-style !g if I need to.
