Not much of an explanation.
- andreyf 17y agoI'm not sure if an explanation is necessary. I think we're forgetting that _why isn't a person - it's a pseudonym, a persona, an experiment, a work of art, a character, a story. Stories end. Anonymity was part of this story, and so this one might have been forced into ending earlier than it otherwise would have, but there's no harm in that. Vanishing without explanation even seems the most appropriate ending for such a mysterious character. What seems most comforting to me is that whoever created _why is in no way the kind of person to stop creating things - we might not know who he is or what he's working on, I think we can all rest assured the energy and talent that brought _why into being is not gone, simply put to other uses.
