Quartzy is the world’s #1 lab management software, used by more than ten thousand labs at academic institutions as well as pharma and biotech companies all over the world. We are well-funded with a disruptive business-model in a large un-signaled market. We are looking for an exceptional full-stack software engineer to help take Quartzy to the next level. What You’ll Do: Design and implement new functionality from the ground up. Measure and improve site performance and scalability. Create unit and functional tests for new and existing code What You Should Have: Demonstrable experience writing clean, production-ready code in PHP. Experience with other parts of our technology stack: MySQL, Git, Redis, ZeroMQ, Apache/Nginx. An entrepreneurial attitude that gets high-quality projects done quickly The ability to work efficiently and communicate clearly. A technologically diverse background and the willingness/ability to quickly learn new technologies Scripting experience for automation of tasks Extra Credit (Nice to Have: Working knowledge of front-end technology: JavaScript, HTML, SASS. Linux system administration experience (maintenance/optimization/scalability).
