My point stands that if the guy is so incompetent that he can't figure out which state he's looking at, he shouldn't be writing an article critical of a mapping system in the first place. I'm more of a hardware hacker than a programmer, therefore I don't go around writing articles criticizing the latest version control system; I'd end up making a fool of myself as I wouldn't have a clue what I was talking about. And just to be clear, I actually agree with him that the new Google Maps seems less useful than the old version.
