- sho 17y agoI guess the point I was trying to make was that "photo booth" is far from the first word association that comes to mind when I hear "booth". The first would be a table at a restaurant; the second would be a phone booth. Whenever I hear the name I am confused and have to remember what it is. The mental concept that springs to mind upon hearing the phrase "daily booth" is, maybe, someone who visits the same restaurant every day, and insists on sitting in the same spot. Or maybe it's the blog of someone who posts a picture of a different phone booth every day. The idea it has anything to do with photos is kind of this late "oh yeah" arrival. Anyway, whatever, what do I know, I also think youtube is an utterly ridiculous name...

- greyman 17y agoPhotobooth isn't a terribly bad name, but this service deserve something shorter and funnier. Youtube? That I think is a great name, instantly rememberable and fitting to the service.
- whughes 17y agoPhoto Booth is also the name of the built-in Mac OS X webcam demo app, which is probably known to a lot of their users. I would think of a ticket booth, too, but frankly I think the "daily" part is the weak link here. It's not engaging like the You in YouTube.
