I've never been an heavy Facebook user, so even if my account is pretty old I've never feed it with much data. All I use it for today is to talk to some friends that refuse to use something else. Maybe I might give a quick read at my wall if I'm really bored, but that's it. Regarding trust, I trust Facebook as much as I trust other free (as in beer)/closed systems: "If you're not paying for it, you're the product".
